This year the IAP Prize goes to Megan Goodwin from the University Of Wales, Newport.
Paul Lynham awarding Megan Goodwin
Here is what Megan has to say…
I attended the University of Wales, Newport for 3 years, on the Games Development and Artificial Intelligence course. During my time at Newport, I worked with both programmers and artists to create games and simulations. In my second year, I took part in Dare to be Digital 2011, where 15 teams from across the world compete over 10 weeks to design and build a video game, in hopes of winning a BAFTA.
I received a first class honours from Newport and worked on my honours project further, in conjunction with the Cognitive Robotics Research Centre at Newport. This project became the Cyber Savannah and is integrated with the Webots Simulation Suite.
I have worked for Ozum Web Design and am currently working for Tribold. Tribold is a leading provider in Enterprise Product Management software and our software is used throughout the communication services industry and has won numerous industry awards. We are currently working on projects that use the latest web technologies (including HTML5 and CSS3), and as a Microsoft
Gold Partner, Tribold was selected to join Microsoft’s Azure enablement programme. This has given Tribold an unprecedented level of access to Microsoft while we undertake projects that transition our software over to Azure’s Platform as a Service capabilities.
