Regional Fellows

The Institution has been quietly progressing a number of items related to the 10Es Transformation Programme over recent months. Alastair Revell (Director General) and Paul Lynham (Vice-President and Director for Member Engagement) have asked Santi Mondejar, FIAP to convene a group of Fellows who have expressed an interest in helping to set up a regional structure. The Council will appoint, in due course, a number of Regional Fellows, each of whom will lead our work in a designated geographical region. The IAP aims to become a member-driven organisation. It is therefore important for those Fellows who have expressed an interest in establishing the regional structure to draft an appropriate framework for its governance to present to the Council. Santi Mondejar has agreed to be the convener of this group and will coordinate the input and drafting of this framework with a view to establishing some pilot regional activities. Suggested regional activities range from holding local events (such as a presentation followed by dinner) to helping promote programming in schools and universities in various practical and hands-on ways. This is a significant initiative and the Institution already has a number of members who are interested in becoming involved in regional activity. However, if anyone else would like to help with getting this initiative started, please contact the IAP office, particularly if you would like to become involved in getting some pilot events off the ground.
