Anonymisation: ICO Code of Practice

The Information Commissioner’s Office has issued a draft code of practice for the successful anonymisation of personal data and the assessment of risks of unique identification from anonymised data. The consultation period ends on 23 August 2012. You can find the draft code and a response form here. The IAP will make a response based on its members’ views. Please read the draft code of practice. You will find a discussion on the IAP’s LinkedIn group where you can post your comments and read those of others. We will distil our response from the posts among other inputs. There is, of course, no reason why members should not respond to the consultation individually if they wish. A collective response generally carries more weight, though.
